My name is Cody Goggin. I've always had a guitar in my life, because my Dad played. My Grandfather also played, and so did my Great Grandfather. I still have my great grandfathers guitar. So with all of this family history with music, it's not really a surprise that I would find myself trying to make my own music today. It was a slow process, as there were a lot of bugs and hiccups to be worked out along the way. Luckily, I've done alright and at this point in time, I've released 5 full albums of original songs.
I've slowly learned to play guitar through out my life, and finally over the last 3 years I've managed to actually write and record some original material. I've released 5 albums on www.codygoggin.bandcamp and I've done well for myself.
Yea. I've played some private parties around my area. I also won a talent contest at a festival in my town. Looking forward to getting around some more soon.
My musical influence is pretty far-reaching. A lot of it comes from Johnny Cash, but a lot of other great artists from different styles have also given me inspiration. John Hiatt, Joe Pug, Coldplay, White Lies, Meat Loaf, Bob Seger, Bob Dylan, Bon Jovi, Billy Joel, Eagles, John Mellencamp and many, many more.
I use a Yeti Blue microphone, and a Yamaha FG700 Sunburst guitar. When playing live, I have a Samson PA system that works really well.
I enjoy doing this and never stop thinking about what I should do next, so you never know when I'm going to be posting something new. Keep on Rocking.
