Jason Naranja Alino
is a Filipino jazz guitarist, born on March 11, 1981 in Manila Philippines. A self-taught musician at a very young age.
He got intrigued by what's left hanging on the
wall --- his father's acoustic guitar,
took it off and started playing music at the age 10.
He formed his first band in his 5th grade, also formed and joined a lot of bands back then, from then on he honed his talent engaging in numerous local band competitions and gigs around Metro Manila.
He took up music at the University of Santo Tomas and graduated in 2011 with the degree of Bachelor of Music in Jazz Studies.
There he met and played music with Erskine Basilio (guitarist of Sitti).
His wide range of musicality covers Rock, Pop, Classical, Funk, Soul, and Jazz to name a few.
He has been the guitarist of the soul-funk-jazz-fusion group ThirdWorldProject since 2002 with the musicians Allen Umali (of Chillitees) on bass, Artstrong Clarion on vocals, Reli de Vera (of Sino Sikat?) on drums, and James Sace (of Sitti) on keyboards.
When Artstrong left the group, Maegan Aguilar (Freddie Aguilar's daughter) took over as lead vocals of ThirdWorldProject that led Jason to play as well with Maegan's acoustic group called Flower Child.
On October 2008, he was called to join the group Chillitees, after a few months of playing with the group he decided to focus on his studies and quit the band on march 2009.
He started recording his original songs in 2007 that can be heard at http://www.soundclick.com/jasonalino

I release, at least, one song every year.
Why one only?
Because I produce everything.
There's so much work to do, seriously.
