Hyllus was formed in Miami Florida in early 2008 by Pedro Rios(bass),Andrew Kaner(drums), and Howard Garrao(guitar,vocals). With the purpose of playing music for the love of it, but with the mentality of achieving artistic goals. Reggae music(The member's common ground) played a fundamental part in shaping this trio's sound. Since their first rehearsal, the band quickly went to work a demo which was accomplished solidly on the natural chemistry that occurred during these original sessions. After this, the band began playing live shows around Miami. One venue in particular took notice. Tobacco road's promoter took a liking of their sound, and featured them in many festivals. Also giving the band the honor of being the first band to play the Friday happy hour in the venue's history. more shows followed, and with a more polished sound the band went back in to the studio to record their self titled debut album. Which is to be released at the end of July 2009.
