We are bulgarian band well known in our native country.
Popcorn exist since 1997 and the last 3 years has been
very succesful for the musicians in the band:
Nelly - lead vocal, alto sax, wind controller, sampling
Donny - keyboards, vocal, analogue synthesis, sampling, programming
Vesso - electric and acoustic guitars, cuban percussions
Our prefered styles are house and chill out music.
May, 2003 we released our first
12'' EP with Keyf records Norway/UK /. The Oli prayer project received extremely good feedbacks from all over the world and this month /october/ has been included in the playlist of DJ No1 in Canada - Mark Oliver /resident DJ of The Guvernment club, Toronto/. In april 2004 the label Cobalt recordings based in Chicago/USA / will release the next EP of Popcorn - Prince of Persia.
Our last project is the Easy feeling single which has remixes made in Turkey by
Emre Goren and in UK by DJ Damo. This song has been No1 for two months in the Vitaminic charts /www.vitaminic.co.uk/ and it was No1 in the top lists of the most respected radio stations here, in Bulgaria.
POPCORN got the first prize and the gold statuette at the 13th International Computer Art Forum 2001 /http://www.scas.acad.bg/. The concert was broadcast on the "Techno" show of the Bulgarian National Television. This summer, the band reached No2 in the top 100 of the MP3 songs org UK.
In 2002 Popcorn did supporting acts for the concerts of FunDaMental and Las Ketchup. Popcorn's music could be heard often on fashion shows, in the clubs, on the radio and tv in Bulgaria and has been broadcasted in other countries by Radio Ventures NY /US/ - 1000 radio stations, Power FM /Turkey/, Norwegian National Radio and BBC, London /UK/.
Well sometimes 30 days per month.In clubs,live concerts.It is great to be on stage.We feel ourselves as a part of one big picture!
