Band/artist history
I first got into synths back in the late 70's early 80's,after hearing Gary Numan, O.M.D et al.As an unemployed school leaver,I had to scrimp and scrape every penny, but eventually ended up with a home recording set up that comprised a Moog Prodigy,Polymoog,Roland jupiter 8,the legendary TR808 Drum machine and the revolutionary Teac Tascam 244 cassette multitrack recorder.I spent many a happy hour with this setup.
All my gear then sat idle for many years before I sold it all, as I had become a lifestyle biker.Unfortunately I am no longer able to ride as much as I would like. So,instead of slowly going insane,I decided to get back into recording.I googled "synthesizer" and 2 weeks later I was the proud owner of a Roland JP8000. It felt great after 25 years to be tweaking knobs and filter sweeping those sawtooths again. The JP8000 was swiftly augmented by more equipment, and I was well away.
Because I don't restrict myself to any particular genre within electronic music (I'll attempt anything from chillout to Psytrance), I don't think I have a Particularly recognisable style. However,I would be most interested to hear any constructive criticism from fellow musicians. And,if just one of my tracks brings some pleasure to someone other than myself,I will feel delightedHave you performed in front of an audience? No
