X-Sonic is a studio project started in 2006 by American indie synth musician Michael Kauzlarich. X-Sonic's "musical mission" is the creation of brand-new synthpop music recalling the retro style of the 80s sound. Influences cover a broad range of synthesizer bands and include artists such as Tears for Fears, Eurythmics, The Human League, OMD, The Pet Shop Boys, Depeche Mode and many, many more. While Kauzlarich is the primary force behind the project, occasional collaborators include fellow indie synth artist Bobby Clark of Synthetik FM, saxophonist Ron Baisden of Blue Rapture, Mexican artist Aztecno Alcoatl, and Nova Pulsar. Another pending collaboration is due to feature artist Sara Snyder of the Asheville, NC-based band Stereospread.

Previous work includes the 2009 debut album "Synthetic Heart" which showcases the earliest work of the band, and the 2010 release "The Speed of Light" which features the group's biggest iTunes hits to date "She's Come Undone" and "Stay". Both this album and the most current release "Machine Language" were engineered by Simon Heyworth, who at one time was Virgin Records UK chief mastering engineer and was one of the producers of Mike Oldfield's song from The Exorcist soundtrack "Tubular Bells".

"Machine Language" features the title track which is scheduled to be included on the soundtrack of the Jason Scott documentary film "6502" and on the German label Conzoom Records "Electropop 10" release. It also includes the tracks "Rocket Johnny", "The Waiting Game" and "Far Distant Dreams" which have all helped propel the album into the Top 40 of the ReverbNation US Electronica chart and into the Top 100 on their worldwide chart.
