Band/artist history
It's been a long time getting to this point but over 18 years later I have finally decided to foist my music onto an unsuspecting public. Love it if you want to. Hate it if you want to but it would be preferred if it was loved - even the rough edges. I record everything at home straight onto computer (no more messing with inefficient cassettes)using a cheap acoustic guitar recorded through a cheap microphone which is then fed through an equally cheap cassette deck (even inefficient cassette decks have their uses)before finding it's way onto my computer hard drive where I then either mix the results or delete them in total devastation at the results. I still have a lot to learn about recording and mixing - writing songs and then recording them is the easy bit. Still when you're a solo artist you have to learn to do everything yourself and this does give an extra sense of achievement. Some of these results can be found here on my corner of MySpace. I have tons of other songs I want to put up here. All I have to do now is actually motivate myself to record them and improve my recording techniques. I am very proud of the songs themselves even if the actual recordings are rather rough but who cares about perfection? Far better to make an awful recording of a good song than to make a good recording of an awful song....
Have you performed in front of an audience?
As of yet I have not played any live shows as a solo artist. However, I have a couple of shows coming up in May as part of the IPO festival. I am appearing at the Cavern Club in Liverpool on May 20th, this will be my first live show - what a place to play my first show, I can't wait!

Old Gang: very good song, I love your harmonies.
Lovely song Steve, reminds me of some of the melodic bands of the past like Association, beautiful harmonies in the golden classic age of music. Keep up the good work.
I like your song "Playground" very much. I hear many of the influences you listed in this song. Great vibe!
I really enjoyed listening to "Old Gang". Excellent melody and harmonies and a wonderful overall vibe!
