Music and song have always been central to how God's people worship and praise their Creator. The Psalms of the Bible were the hymns of ancient Israel and, throughout the history of the Church, God's people have used songs to proclaim his deeds and mercies to us. Everything from "A mighty Fortress". to Handel's "Messiah", to Amazing Grace are all expressions of the worship of the church throughout the world and in at times. At BGBC we continue this tradition of worshipping our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ through music and song. This album was recorded using Zoom H4 Handy Recorder and sound-mixed using Steinberg Cubase SX3 at the studio of "Bordergate Mission House" two weeks before celebrating the 17th Year Anniversary of Bordergate Baptist Church. Choir members and some friends worked throughout, laboring until 1 am just to finish all the tracks for this album. It was very exciting to see their joy and enthusiasm. They were rehearsing the songs for the celebration, pulling everything together and it's been great to be a part in this particular moment of INVALID some it requires a little more sacrifice, but the spirit and joy of the people is just fantastic and wonderful. It feels great to be working with them and to see their thankfulness and happiness. We have been greatly blessed with a variety of extremely talented and dedicated members in the past 17 years. God is so good and we thank and glorify Him for the way He has provided for all our needs. "Approve things that are excellent, and be sincere without offence till the day of Christ" is this year's theme and that emphasis is the heartbeat of the church today. Our mission statement, formed in 1991 with the assistance of Pastor Joseph P. Mandrino, remains constant and is our primary reason for existence: PREACHING THE GOSPEL, TEACHING THE WORD, CONTENDING FOR THE FAITH Bro. James Jn.3:30
