PSG is; Brian Bass vocals, Mike Nicolay guitar, Kevin Johnson vocals, percussion, Stuart Baggett bass, and Chris Bass drums. This up and coming band is from Thomasville, Georgia and has influences ranging from Bob Marley to Soulfly. The group brings a well-needed breath of fresh air to the music industry by setting themselves apart from the genres of todays music and creating their own sound combined with Reggae, Funk, and Hard Rock. PSG has a truly unique sound that will soon be recognized by many.
PSG began 2003 as the opening act for Rich Wards Sick Speed (CAFU), which consists of the former members of Stuck Mojo (Century Media). As the year progressed PSG evolved into what is now a group of seasoned stage performers with a large and growing fan base. These talented musicians recorded their debut demo cd entitled 40 ounces & a BBQ at Earthsound Studios in Valdosta, Georgia. After hearing the completed demo, Clear Channel Radio Station, X101.5, based out of Tallahassee, Florida featured PSG on the newly released Locals Only 4 compilation cd. Real Rock 97.3 based out of Albany, Georgia as well as several other regional stations have also added the single 40 ounces & a BBQ to their playlists.
Due to the enthusiasm generated by their demo, PSG was invited to the Real Rock 97.3 Studios to do a live interview. The success of their first demo has left fans wanting more and PSG will deliver in 2004 when they return to Earthsound Studios to record their follow up EP. In November as 2003 was drawing to a close; the band added another success to their list of accomplishments. PSG competed in and won the Battle of the Bands featuring Wind Up Recording Artist, Big Dismal as the headliner at Bainbridge College. A phenomenal year for PSG, 2003 found them surrounded by success and featured in publications such as Volume Magazine, and the Thomasville Times Enterprise.
With many venues behind them, and 2004 straight ahead of them, PSG looks to broaden their horizons and establish a place for themselves and their unique sound within the music industry.
