The West Houston band OnesOwnChaos has been together since May 2002. Check out our website www.onesownchaos.com
In April of 2001 James McMenamin and Derrick Broze got together to form a band, after their efforts to start other serious bands were going nowhere. They laid down guitar and vocal tracks for some early songs and went under the name "FLAT-Line". In Semptember 2001 they recruited Gus Avila on bass and Kenny Blume on drums and started working on songs as "Decimation of Humanity".---
---In February of 2002, after dropping Gus and several name changes they picked up Cassandra Diamond on bass and became "PersecutioN". PersecutioN began writing songs for a demo titled "Nameless Face Of Death", which was never released. In April of 2002 Kenny quit the band, and took James with him as well.---
---After many failed attempts to start another band with Kenny, James gave up and started a new project with Pete Sosa. At this same time Derrick and Cassandra were also trying to start a new band with no success.---
---In June of 2002, the two groups joined forces as ONESOWNCHAOS with Derrick handling vocals and electronics, James on guitar, Cassandra playing bass, and Pete behind the drums. In less than a year they released a the "InternalDemiseEP" demo, played 2 shows, and were working on a full length cd, but in April 2003 James quit the band because of musical differences. The band then picked up A.J. Guitierez on guitar to learn the old songs and help write new ones. After only a few months with A.J. on guitar, A.J. took a leave in July 2003. After a short search for another guitarist the band auditioned Chris Elliot and wrote a song with him. So in August 2003 Chris became ONESOWNCHAOS' 3rd guitarist. But things did not work as planned and Chris was just not the right for The Chaos. They finally found the right person, in Brandon Powell. Now with a new dedicated lineup ONESOWNCHAOS will be ready to play shows and write their long delayed full length album.---
