This page is in memory of my best friend John T. Kabelka/Johnny Angel,Johnny Lighting,J Kool,Big John.The most Talented individual that I have ever known.A pro Boxer,Pro football Player,He acted he did it all.God gave John many gifts but the gift closest to his (HEART)was his music.But above all he was a great (FRIEND)to so many peaple and so many peaple loved him.I guess Elvis wanted to take a break from performing so god decided it was Time for john to take over.John passed in 2000, and he went in true rock star style he was in a plane crash of a private plane.Another close friend Peter Kuperschmit and lead Guitar player in the originial Johnny Angel band and also produced with John, The hit Heart's of Gold.Peter said it best at John's memorial service.And I quote(SOMEBODY BETTER TELL ELVIS THERE'S A NEW SHERIFF IN TOWN).John was A great LIVE performer But the one show that always sticks in my mind was at THE ROCK AND ROLL PALACE,Thats the night the Johnny Angel band proceeded to blow the lengendary Byrds off the stage, Close Friend and lead guitarist and producer mitch diamond was playing lead that night (Hopefully soon I'll be putting one of johns best recording on the page soon. Its called the first time written and produced by Mitch Diamond.After the service friend's and family got together and celabrated JOHN'S LIFE after many hours of drinking,another life long best friend of John's, Russell Weissenberg and my self were just sharing John story's they where endless. Did I mention that he was also a comedian, we'll get to that later. So Russ says to me Jon your know how John was very secreative about some things, he would say I cant tell you where I'm going or what I'm doing. Do you think he was working for the goverment maybe the CIA and he's really not gone he's just undercover and they had to say that.We'll I thought about it for a minute and then I said I dont know,but it was a great thought and very possible. He could defenitly kick some ASS and he could do impressions and he could read peaple. So at that moment it hit me and said to Russell, You know what? John was fucking (SUPERMAN)think about it. He came to earth with abilitys far greater than those of mortal men!!!!!!So if he is gone' there must of been Kryptinite in that plane.Russ said ya'SUPERMAN and beleave me he fought for truth and justice and the american way.Most of all John was A great friend and brother.After John's service when we where celabrating his life John's Brother Billy and myself gave each other a giant hug and you could feel the power and the love.I would like to say that everyone who would meet John was touched by him and he helped and effected so many peaple in A positive way. I want peaple that did not have the Honor of knowing him to share in his love of his life his music.(THE MAN THE MYTH THE LEGEND)JOHNNY ANGEL!!!!!!!!!!!!
