The Red Mountain Bluegrass Band is a bunch of ol' boys from Mesa Arizona. We play festivals; concerts; private parties, including weddings, funerals, and divorces; and just have a good time pickin' and grinnin'.
Band/artist history
We've been around for quite a while. We have gone through some changes, but have three dudes who have been in the band since 1992. Hey, what can I say? We're old guys.
Have you performed in front of an audience?
We play live all the time, although some of our audiences have been pretty dead....
Your musical influences
Lester Flatt and Earl Scruggs, of course; Bill Monroe, Ralph Stanley, Ricky Skaggs, and a lot of the newer bands like Cherryholmes.
What equipment do you use?
All acoustic, of course; my main axes are a Stelling Bellflower and a 1971 Martin D-28.
Anything else?
CTR, of course. I mean, we ARE in Mesa....
