Kevin Michael Kiley, a Blues Artist heavily influenced by SRV, Albert King, R.L. Burnside, John Mayer, and yes, believe it or not, the neo-classical genius of Yngwie Malmsteen
Have you performed in front of an audience?
Yes, all over Denver at local blues jams and open mic's until I can find a like-minded bassist.
Your musical influences
Stevie Ray Vaughan, Jimi Hendrix, Jimmy Page, Yngwie Malmsteen, Ry Cooder, R. L. Burnside, Muddy Waters, Pink Floyd, Philip Sayce, Eric Tessmer, Michael Hornbuckle and his brother Brian Hornbuckle, Steve Vai, Joe Satriani,
What equipment do you use?
Fender Strats, (mostly scalloped fretboards, but not always, I have 7 of them) 1964 Blackface Fender Super Reverb, 1990's original issue Fender Blues DeVille, 1964 RI Fender Custom VibroVerb (the Diaz mod'ed one) new Fender Super Champ SD, Tech 21 Trademark 60 (for all my Marshall tones, when I need them) a Ibanezs TS-808 TubeScreamer, a DOD 250 modified by Analogman with the Mojomod, a Barber Direct Drive, (Awesome pedal) a MJM Blues Devil, Keeley Fuzz Head, eantone King of the Britons, a Xotic Effiect BB Preamp, a Bosso tRemolo, a Boss NS-2 Noise Suppressor, a Boss TU-2 Chromatic Tuner (must have) a Furman pedal board customized by me, a dunlp Crybaby (that I'm not happy with, it's the Jimi Hendirx model and it's not so good, and a Dunlp Fuzz Face (red one). Oh yeah, I also have a Fender RocPro 1000 for that Yngwie Concerto tone. Oh yeah, again, I have a Ultimate attenuator that I'm not currently using, a POD 2.0 that I don't use anymore, and a Vox Tonelab I'm not using (but when it was plugged in stereo to my old Hot Rod Deville and Hot Rod Deluxe I got an awesome Eric Johnson 800 lb violin tone!)
Anything else?
Yeah, the blues rule, but don't knock the rest. I love neo-classical, Satch and Vai, the crossroads movie with Via and Karate Kid, and even like hip hop, celtic, metal, goth, alternative, and I think John Mayer plays some mean blues and is a stellar song writer, I don't care what you think about his guitar playing. Your wrong, I'm right.
