Hi - We're Digital Noise Control. I'm Chris Bradley, I'm 35, and a techno producer. In the past I've collaborated with an Aussie Guitarist named Aaron Leighton on the internet. I am currently working solo, but have had friends perform with me on stage. On Sep 21, at Club Infinity 2008 Garage Explosion we won 2nd place (wildcard) in a battle of the bands.
Band/artist history
Digital Noise Control has roots back in 1989 - 1990 when I was first starting to get involved with using sequencers and samplers on workstations in High School. I'm 35 Now - but sort of took a leave from writing music for about 12 years because I couldn't afford the exact gear I wanted. Now that I have a few pieces of reliable gear to record with, I've put together some good pieces, and with a good friend from Australia, named Aaron Leighton, we managed to put together an album worthy of putting through iTunes. Aaron Leighton is a guitarist from Melbourne Australia who is currently studying library science. He has done some surfing off of Bell's Beach, and has an excellent sounding Fender Stratacaster which I've been able to mix down in Cubase for 3 of the tracks on Sky Wheel. I've also used Sonar LE for a couple of the tracks. As I get more money, I plan to update our gear.
Have you performed in front of an audience?
Once this past month. We have some video footage listed in our blog at http://www.supernova.com/noisecontrol
Your musical influences
Depeche Mode is a big one, Corey Hart is another, Hall and Oates, Billy Joel. Acen, our influences are scattered. At some points in the early and mid 90's it was like we were re-living the 60's in pop culture.
What equipment do you use?
Roland Juno-G, Sonar 7, Cubase LE - x61 Emu Controller
Anything else?
General Electric Mic Headsets - I think I've gone through three of them, and Pro Line keyboard stands and bench.
