DeBate is an electrical music composer formed by the individual Patrick Bate.
The genres composed range from Breakbeat, Chillout, Electronic, Electronica, Dance, Drum & Bass, Hip Hop, House, Jazz, Trance, Trip Hop and many other Sub-Genres.
I really believe and wish my future to be involved with in the music industry. With Logic Pro 7 I have now created around 270 songs and am still creating nearly every day. I am tremendously passionate about what I do and love to show people my music to get their opinions and make improvements. My dream job would be to compose modern music for Film/TV. I create all sorts of genres but believe my strongest area is Electronic & Trip Hop. I like to think of my music as music that, regardless of who you are and what you are usually in to, can be enjoyed.
First wanted to start making music when I saw someone using eJay in 2002. So eventually I bought Music Generator 2 for the Playstation 2 in 2003. Then upgraded to Music 3000. This helped me to get used to very basics of making music. Eventually I bought iLife in 2004 which included GarageBand. Which was great for beginners and introduced me to MIDI, using/recording audio and plug-in effects. After using this for a year and improving I found myself limited to what I could do so did some research and wanting to stay with Mac, I bought Logic Pro 7 in January 2005. This is obviously professional software so was hard to get used to at first. But after reading manuals and forums I started to understand it more and made my first track in February. Since then I have made over 270 tracks. The first 2 years I was still experimenting and always too eager to finish songs so my mastering tended to be dreadful. But over time I have learned to take my time and make sure all levels are right. I am still always learning but I believe the way I make music won't ever change now.
Not at the moment, currently trying to save money in order to get the equipment to perform live.
Because I try to make as many different genres as I can, I have so many influences it's hard to name all of them. It can be a whole album or just a random song. The first album to really influence me was Mike Oldfield's Tubular Bells 2. But since then there has been absolutely loads. Even if my music doesn't sound like certain artists, they would have still influenced me in one way or anohter.
