I play keys in a rock band (www.strangers.org.uk). I also write music of my own which I am in the process of recording and performing when I can find time in between gigs/working as a teacher/being a dad. Since 2015 I've been a performer on second life "Dandy Pianoman" (pianoman1968).
Band/artist history
The recordings you hear are a result of collaboration with my friend of over 30 years Andy Headley, who can be heard playing electric guitar on some of the tracks. I have played in bands with him before when I used to be a bass player in a previous life. There are also guest musicians on some tracks and others have offered advice and feedback which I always appreciate :)
Have you performed in front of an audience?
I play my original songs and covers every week on second life as "Dandy Pianoman" (pianoman1968) and with my "real life" band (strangers.org.uk), where we play rock covers.
Your musical influences
Neil Young, PJ Harvey, John Ireland, Keith Jarrett, Led Zeppelin, Stravinsky, The Beatles, David Bowie, the list goes on and changes every day......
What equipment do you use?
I use a Yamaha p 105 stage piano with my band and a a Korg trinity of 1995 vintage. My acoustic is a Yamaha APX 500III and I have a Broadwood piano at home which was apparently the first type of piano that Beethoven used.
Anything else?
I used to play regularly on paltalk and occasionally pop in to play my songs. I was known as "keefykeyz" there.
