Hello World My name is Shantel, and I am a singer. I started out with my sister, but decided to go ahead and spread my wings solo. Singing comes from my soul, It's like every time I sit to write something it just doesn't feel right, so nine times out of ten I record the song then I correct errors if any. I am passionate about what I do, not obsessed.
Recently I haven't performed, but I stand out special moment would be in Church, i had an oppertunity to sing a song from my heart and it just so happened to have reached many youth and so far lead them onto great paths
I grew up with southern gospel. You know the stump your foot bang that tamberine type gospel, Motown sounds were always in my head. Can't go wrong with R. Kelly he made me see lyrics in a new light, Montell Jordan, I loved how he combined upbeat beats to his soulful voice, Maxwell his amazing range gave me an ear for octives. Monica had attitude and emotion in her music, which I respected, SWV, Exscape so many powerful groups and Individuals, inspired my sound, they connected me to R&B. I just one to keep it on the map.
I'm out here ready to show the world that this is what I want to do. I want to sing, I want to open myself to this business. Anyone can get at me to sing with them or flow a hook it would be an honor to work with different talented people.
