During a time where the Hip Hop game is dubbed "dead" TNT (That Nigga Tae), a rapper from the DMV, is out to prove all these bammas wrong.
"The name TNT came up cause every time niggas saw me, they was like, there go That Nigga Tae, ya know, and I feel my flow is dynamite, so I always tell them light the fuse, cause Im finna blow up, ya digg, brah?" -TNT, explaining the origin of his rap name
Hailing from Washington, DC, TNT has grown up in the hardship and been through all the struggles that are associatd with the hood life. At the beginning of this career, he wrote about all those experiences in a grimey, murderous flow, but the separation line between him and other rappers is, he actually has been through it all.
As times change and minds further developed, he discovered a way to express all of these trials and tribulations in a lyrical, poetic style that some will call "conscience rap". He calls it "a new style, shying away from all the fake gun toting, drug dealing rappers and being unique with an approach to the rap game" TNTs lyrical content and vivid wordplay bears no category apart from the "new generation of hip hop" that is sure to forefront the era of hip hop.
Working with fellow DMV rapper, Young Re-Play, he is currently working on amixtape release "Lyrical Genius Pt. 1 & 2 (That Nigga Tae & Young Re-Play) as a joint collaboration between Diverse Mentality Records, and his own label, Hustle 2 Death Records, which also handles production. The businessman side is not limited to music, as plans to create a clothing line "Swagga" is in the works as we speak.
The dedication and perserverance that TNT brings to building the new era of hip-hop will be the key factor that puts Washington DC and Maryland on the map, and show the world that lyricism is not restricted to one region, Hip Hop shall reside in the same city he is fond of, and he is here to take it over.
