Asaph was the first and chief musician in the early days before the temple was built in Jerusalem. By all accounts (1Chron 16v5) he was a percussionist and drummer and together with Heman and Jeduthun formed the first worship band to accompany the choir in praise and worship of God
He wrote a number of psalm lyrics under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit. His lyrics are very down to earth and he likes to say things exactly as they are!
'Descendants of Asaph' follow in his tradition and is a virtual band dedicated to making music and song unto the Lord and presenting His challenge to the world today through parables in music.

Your musical influences
Part of the early 70's generation brought up on classical rock (Cream, Deep Purple) but was particularily infuenced by the late Rory Gallagher. My musical turntable probably got stuck somewhere in the early 70's and that probably reflects in the styl INVALID .
Was also influenced in 80's by the music of the Marantha singers/musicians. I would describe myself as having broad musical tastes including classical, jazz and folk music

Excellent guitar work!! The lyrics are poignant and easy on the tongue. The fact that the rhythm section is obviously a drum machine is no bother. I gave 5 stars for the songs where the guitar work was particularly good.
In my opinion, the main thing holding most of your songs back is the vocal quality. I suggest re-recording the songs with a full band and new vocals. Perhaps singing with more of a brogue or something might make it more appealing on some songs or even allowing someone else to do the singing here and there might be nice.
All of the songs are really good but they need a little push to make them top of the line.
