Thin On The Ground
A sort of hippy/buskers song of the wonderful "hostel" at Chatenay Malabry - a 16th century farmhouse in a field surrounded by modern high rise tower blocks. Every night Paris buskers had wonderful jam sessions in an upstairs room.

The Indifferent Mistress
A very old gaelic poem found in the celtic miscellany [penguin] with melody added by Dave.

Mind Your Own Business

Lakes of Pontchartrain
From the playing of Paul Brady, traditional song about an irish soldier near New Orleans during the 1812 War by British v US.

Jock O Hazeldean
Love song about an engklish bride who prefers her scottish lover who whisks her away north of the Border, in the nick of time...

Have you performed in front of an audience?
We always played live!..[we all still do just in very different places!]...usually in folk clubs in Central and South Scotland.
Your musical influences
Our influences were the original country blues of people like Robert Johnson and Skip James...but also traditional folk music and the exciting interpretations which were happening around us...but also Hank Williams, Elvis pResley, The Rolling Stones, Ry Cooder.....
What equipment do you use?
Yamaha acoustics...I gave Edna a slightly dodgy Ovation acoustic..and I played a very old and cheap VOX electric bass...we had no money so PA was very basic too...a secondhand H/H amp and a pair of WEM column speakers with Shure Unidyne mikes...which Ive still got...
Anything else?
We knew little or nothing about management/bookings etc...but loved the music and the lifestyle...a wonderful time when every gig was an adventure and Eddi stopped the show everytime...
