I am a singer/songwriter who writes mainly in the Country and Pop genre. I love Ballads that tell a story, have deep meaning, and move you emotionally. But I al
I am more of a singer/songwriter than a "Band". However, I do play most instruments and sing all of my own music. I have a life-long friend, Kip Sheldon, whom I have re-connected with recently, and we are working on an album together. We started playing music together in the early 60's, playing all of the great music from the 60's; Beatles, Credence, etc.... . Then in 1971, our rock band re-formed after Uncle Sam got through with us and we began playing Country Music. Got a gig with Capitol Records as the tour band for Stoney Edwards. Did that for a while, then I quit music and went to work and raised a family. In 1990, I started learning Audio Engineering. Opened a studio and operated the business for about 10 years, and sold it in 2001. Now, I'm just getting into the DAW world, using Sonar 8 PE and a bunch of other stuff! I still prefer Country and rock ballads.
I will be posting my original songs, and a few "covers" of my all-time favorites.
I look forward to participating in this venue, sharing songs we have all created, and, meeting many new friends who have a similar interest in music.
No, not at this time. Maybe some day. I haven't played live since the early 70's.
I think I was more inspired by the music and writings of the Beatles. But, I was influenced by all of the music of the 60's. It was a great time for music. We had so many different styles; Motown, Beachboys, Beatles, Stones, Credence, Lov'n Spoonfull, Surf music, Mamas & PaPas, on and on..... .
Then the likes of Merle Haggard, Buck Owens, George Jones, George Straight, all influenced me in this genre. I love Country Music for its story-telling style of expressing our everyday lives.
