HOLE OF MANKIND was formed in '95, the band started playing Death Metal and there was some live shows. Some years later the style stills being Brutal and Xtreme but more rich and technical due to the better knowledge of the Xtreme Music that the band plays... so listen to the mp3 Gaze at the Abyss... and decide !
The sombre seed of HOLE OF MANKIND was contaminated by the worlds light in 1995, in a chasm village of Spain called Cieza, in the province of Murcia, sowed in the shadows of scepticism and nihility by Alex (guitars), Pedro (drums) and Paco (bass).
They firstly created a quite primitive sound pattern of brutality called UNBORN, but after some months, Alex join to the Doom Death Metal band O MISERUM MANE, them Pedro continued playing and increasing his skillness with another musicians and Paco moves to another town and creates CONFUSION.
Then HOLE OF MANKIND flows from the dark as an entity to create the sound of the intelligent brutality and aggression. Its in this point of time when a new acolyte, Placido, join to play bass and with his help they achieve a steady line-up like a concrete trio, composing some very promising debut songs that are totally outshined by the new stuff nowadays.
After some months like kick-side project of OMM Alex leave playing vocals to focus his energy in playing guitar, then Pepe, vocalist in OMM and HELLBOUND take the role of lead vocalist in HOM, more over Pedro and Placido join to OMM like keyboard player and bassist, so the two bands become somehow in the two sides of a same coin, dark sadness and sombre technical aggression.
Although the path of the band has had a lot of obstacles with line-up changes and above all periods of inactivity (really long seasons of frustration) due to the lack of a rehearsal places, at last they find an ideal lair to begin to feed up the beast hidden inside and preparing to blast the weak non-thinking ears of human cattle.
After this event, a new guitarist enters to strength then the line-up giving a new dimension to the music, hes Emilio, coming from the deceased band AGATYON where Alex was the vocalist. The band stars to work hard in the rehearsal room.
A new disgrace does not left complete the circle toward the bands development, Placido and Alex suffer a serious bike-crash and the harms of Placido leaves him to be institutionalized almost a year at the hospital because of the severe injuries in one of his legs. The band share stage with some legends of the Spanish rock-metal music like BARON ROJO and HAMLET, receiving the enthusiasm of the metal people and good critics from friend bands but the group was not complete without bassist, then its when the band decides to take almost more than a year of inactivity about gigs and recording until Placido recovers from his personal trauma.
Emilio, meanwhile, loses his interest in extreme music and leave the band to join to the nu-metalers HOAX.
After a long period of solitary work of Pedro, Alex and Pepe Placido come back with renewed strength and then they begin a new era for HOM, composing four new songs more brutal and technical.
At last they get a steady period of work and evolution and after some months of hard rehearsal sessions they enter to the studio PRODUCCIONES LORCA to record six tracks with Manuel Torroglosa as a sound engineer. For the moment HOM are glad with the results and hope you like our harmony of destruction and you join to our cause.
