Band/artist history
Life in a Doghouse began in the summer of 2004. After playing many different venues in many different bands we all finally found the lineup that each of us had been looking for. From there, we perfected cover tunes and played them very well for the venue-goers - so good in fact that a couple of times we were told we played it better than the band who wrote it in the first place! We always made it a rule that if it were not perfect, or if any other local band played that song, we would not play it. With this being our base we quickly formed a following of local partygoers ready to rock with us.
It didn't take long until we realized that we were wasting our talents by not venturing further. In the following weeks we kicked ourselves in the ass writing song after song trying to perfect the original new sound that we wanted to thrust on the world, knowing the fans would love it too. After throwing out enough songs for two or three albums, we ended up with the beginnings of our punch rock debut. A solid backbone, in your face guitar, pounding beats, and ear ripping vocals have given us the makings of solid CD; now recorded and sold to fans from Canada to Norway, and from Hawaii to England.
We are now working on world-wide promotion and our second CD.
It wasnt until being thrust into the crowd at a huge venue in Calgary that we had realized we were wasting our talents by not venturing further. In the following weeks we kicked ourselves in the ass writing song after song trying to find the sound we were comfortable with, that the fans enjoy, and that we loved. After throwing out enough songs for two or three albums, we started to find our groove. A solid backbone, in your face guitar, and ear ripping yet melodic vocals have given us the makings of solid CD; now recorded and sold to fans from Canada to Norway, and from Hawaii to England.
We are now working on more cross country promotion and our second CD.
