Playing shows across the Great Lakes region up to 100 shows a year has allowed the band to become very polished in it's presentation of it's own brand of gritty Blues & Rock mix they refer to as "Roadhouse Music". Don't let that description fool you, these guys are no hacks. All 3 members of Dirty Ernie sing both lead and harmonies and all 3 are also very accomplished multi instrumentalists as well. Each member has played a minimum of 30 years and it shows. Both front members in the band have been signed to major labels in the past and for good reason, this band is made up of professionals with no excuses required.
Band/artist history
We've been doing this forever. We're older than history. LOL
Have you performed in front of an audience?
Dirty Ernie has played live shows in Wisconsin, Illinois, Iowa, Indiana, Michigan and Minnesota. JJ and Randy have toured all over North America and if there's a good reason to do it now, we'd jump in the trucks and hit the road again. Give us an excuse to play somewhere and we'll be there.
Your musical influences
Trower, Hendrix, Bonamossa, Castro, Duarte, Mc Clinton, Benoit, Paul Rodgers, Freddy King, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Jimmy Vaughn, Fabulous Thunderbirds, Albert Collins, JJ Cale, Skynyrd, Aerosmith, Everything cool. Think big gnarly power trio stuff with a guitar hero, tight thumpin' rhythm section and great vocals from everyone in the band.
What equipment do you use?
We buy our own gear and it's all touring quality gear. Until we get endorsement contracts, we'll just leave the brand names out of it. Anyone who knows music knows the names of the companies we buy from unless they've always lived in remote caves someplace. JJ also builds a lot of his own stuff from scratch including most of his amps & effects. What a geek!
