Well, the origins of Palance began in the distant past of.....2005, with a little recording project called... Slutbuckle. While both working at a local natural food emporium, founding members Greg Olsen and Jeff Anderson started recording some songs in Greg's basement studio in Waterbury, CT, on days off, weekends and pagan holidays and such. Ranging from nonsensical garage anthems ("A Present For You") to ambient backwards field recordings ("I'll See You In Hell"), Slutbuckle proved to be an interesting prelude to Palance, enjoying special guest appearances from time to time, even featuring future/present members. Keep on the lookout for a retrospective special edition compilation...Anyway, sometime in mid 2006, past collaborator/co-worker/hard-rock veteran/dark wizard Jamie Tilley was brought on as full-time drummer. Shortly after that, friend and colleague Jedidiah Calo, formerly of such charming rock/pop outfits Thumpadingus, and More Equal Than Others was recruited for bass duties, finally rounding out the lumbering beast that is Palance.
