Picture for song 'f*** Wal-Mart.' by artist 'Razor Wire Colonoscopy'

f*** Wal-Mart.

Full Title is 'f*** Wal-Mart. All I Wanted Was Some Plan B And I Got Arrested.' This is our 4th completed song
We're 2 guys who play metal. I (Jason) do vocals and all programming, Eric plays guitar. That's about it.
Band/artist history
We're roommates at UVA-Wise, both with prior black/death/grind bands. We started jamming and it worked quite well. Pretty much it started with me laying down a drum beat and Eric playing over it, and it evolved into writing full songs and eventually recording.
Have you performed in front of an audience?
We don't play live since we don't have a drummer, and playing shows in Wise, VA would be fucking pointless.
Your musical influences
Eric is more influenced by old-school thrash, death, and black metal, such as Pantera, Death, Burzum, King Diamond, Mercyful Fate, etc. My vocal influences lie mainly in the greats of grindcore and black metal, with the likes of Pig Destroyer's JR Hayes, Anaal Nathrakh's Dave Hunt, and Cryptopsy's Lord Worm, among others. As far as drumming influences go, I would say tech death drummers like Dave Suzuki, Flo Mounier, and Necrophagist's Hannes Grossman influence me the most, along with black metal drummers such as Hellhammer, Frost, and Nick Barker.
What equipment do you use?
Our equipment consists of a shitty starter guitar that's intunated horribly, meaning that a 5th chord on the lower part of the neck is not a 5th further up. Needless to say, this makes recording over a correctly tuned bass pretty difficult. The amp we use is a piece of crap, I don't even know what the brand is, but luckily we have a decent distortion pedal to help out with the tone. We bought a SR-57 style microphone for $35 at a music store with no expectations, but it's turning out to be the best piece of equipment we have. As far as bass and drum programming go, I use Guitar Pro 4.
Anything else?
