Band/artist history
Well, so far it's all been about the songwriting and recording. Long-term networking is beginning to make the project more viable. A couple of songs have been picked by SoundClick stations; positive feedback is coming in from not only musicians and people in the recording business, but by ordinary music lovers. Two songs were picked up and recorded by a local singer and another few are on tap for his next CD. Nerp Flerps the band consists of Louis (singer/songwriter/muscian) with collaborations from Danny "Wolfgang" Acosta on monster leads and attitude. ("Temptation", "Teenage Years", and "You Missed Your Train", among others...) Other musicians have contributed their talents on various songs: Denes Pagan on "Sometimes"; and Eduardo Soltero on "I Want It Back" and, "No Warning", öne Thing on My Mind" and "Pretexto". Edgar Nuñez and Carlo Verdi are two new collaborators, Edgar on "I've Got the Blues", and "Social Media" and Carlo on "Such a Good Ending", "Pretexto", "Sorry To Tell You". But as I said in the beginning, it's all about the song.
Have you performed in front of an audience?
We are always writing and recording new material so performing live is not an immediate project. Many musical projects have song lyrics in both Spanish and English although rarely translations on the same theme.
Your musical influences
If you like to sing along with the Beatles or Billy Joel, are a romantic at heart but are realistic when it comes to relationships, you will relate to my lyrics and music.
What equipment do you use?
Marshall amps, Ovation, Godin, Epiphone and Ibanez guitars, Casio and Roland Keyboards, Roland VG99, and GR-55, Vocalist Live 4, Zoom HD16CD and Ableton DAW home recording studio.
Anything else?
Give the songs a good listen, written by me, they are about you too!
