As 'Benny The Busker' I am a solo artist, playing mainly acoustic guitar and mouth organs. However, I sometimes play with others, e.g. the children of Quilty - with whom I recorded "On Christmas Day".
Have you performed in front of an audience?
Outdoors: I busk, where-ever the weather takes me... and on to Festivals. Indoors: can be anything from pub sessions, private parties, Folk Clubs... to concert halls.
Your musical influences
Mainly singer-songwriters from the 60s and 70s, e.g. Bob Dylan, Christie Moore, Donovan, James Taylor, Leonard Cohen, Melanie, Neil Young, Paul Simon, Ralph McTell, Richard Thompson, Sandy Denny, etc. (The usual suspects.)
What equipment do you use?
Acoustic guitar, mouth organs, boots... hat.
Anything else?
God never closes one door without opening another. (An old Irish proverb.)
