C & V is a duo made of two old friends Carlos(C-Los) and Victor(The V.I.C). Born and raised in the ghetto streets of Aurora C & V combine their latino heritage and their love for hip hop to create a new Latino Midwest movement, with the highly anticipated "Sex Drug & Hip "album on the way the sky is the limit for this "Incredible duo"Band/artist history
The history of MyHood Records is a very Long and strange adventure between two childhood friends C-Los(Carlos) and The V.I.C (Victor). I guess it all begins in 2004 when The V.I.C lived with his sister and brother-in-law in Corpus Christi TX, their The V.I.C was able to go on tour with his brother-in-law who is DJ Kane (ex-Kumbia Kings lead singer) producer as a rode. While his stay in texas The V.I.C was able to record his first track entitled "My Pad" produced by his brother-in-law (Mariano Herrera). Months passed by and The V.I.C continued to
write and help out until he felt it was time for him to come back to Aurora.
In the summer of 2005 The V.I.C had made his way back home to Aurora where him and C-Los re-united once again. Months passed by as C-Los and The V.I.C caught up on old times and missed adventures with each other. The whole subject of making music never came up until January of 2006 when The V.I.C played his song "My Pad" for C-Los at what is now MyHood studio. After playing the song over and over and over again both friends came up with the idea of putting the song up on this new web site called "Myspace" to showcase the song to friends and strangers around the globe. As they were filling out the "Myspace Music" info they were asked for a group name ,both friends were dumb founded ds was very original and very much true to their way of life since growing up in the ghettos of Auroras east and west sides. With the name chosen and their record label name chosen and their studio up in running the duo decided to change their name and drop cliq to become just C & V.
Known now as just C & V the duo had a big challenge and that was productions. C & V knew their way around the studio but they needed beats and allot of them. So in the spring C & V were contacted by an old school friend YoungSkillz(Luis) who had begun producing music a year ago and had an arsenal in stock. C and V were very impressed by his music and immediately signed YoungSkillz to MyHood Records becoming their first artist/producer signed under the new label. The trio begun productions on their album and since then have been putting out nothing but classics. Many other so call artists have come and gone but were eventully dropped by the label, but for the majority MyHood Records has consisted of C & v and YoungSkillz. Recently YoungSkillz has changed his name to just Jyoung after his own record label Jyoung Muzik. MyHood Records has been busy in the past year putting out their first E.P entitled "This Night and Day Hustle". Also, MyHood Records has expanded and signed their official DJ Just Da One. MyHood Records will continue to grow in music, business and productions in the years to come, With " The Incredible Duo" of C & V in charge their is no end to how and where they will end up.Have you performed in front of an audience?Yes, weve done a concert out in Iowa. It was fun but now were bringing it home an to Chicago.
