I grew up on a farm in Missouri. As a child, I enjoyed my grandfather playing the accordion. Watching how he enjoyed it put in me a love for music that will never fade. While in school I wrote an essay for an essay contest for school and was a runner up. Also, I played the clarinet in the marching band. In school I also learned some about how to play the piano and the harpsichord. I have also done karaoke a few times with a pretty good response. I started writing poems in 2000 and with some being published. This love for poetry along with my love for music has brought me to writing songs. My biggest influence in music isn't one person but actually the music industry as a whole. In my extra time, I like to spend time with my family, fishing, read, listen to music and sing (mostly country but also rock, soft rock, and a little bit of other kinds) and most of all write songs and poetry. I became a BMI affiliated songwriter in 2002. My first song was released May 2003 with Magic Key Productions/Red Rock Records. Another of my songs, Soldier of My Heart was released in 2004. In August 2003, I signed with Oakhill Productions in Louisiana. I have several co-writers that I occassionally work with and am currently working on learning the guitar and hope to someday be able to share my love for songwriting by sharing my songs everyone.
My biggest influence isn't just one person or even a group of people, but the music industry as a whole. The artists that influence my music are Shania Twain, Patsy Cline, Loretta Lynn, & Dolly Parton.
