I play Ibanez double cutaway electric guitar, strung right handed, I play upside down; left handed. Soft, easy listening Jazz music, or raga, blues, rock, christian, meditation. I am an artist also, painting, sketching. I 'can' play bass, drums, clarinet, but I prefer to create the background tracks to my guitar with Cubase4, Reason3 software. Did live open mic gigs with friends backing live in Seattle, WA at Blue Moon bar in the 1990's. Having fun with music.
Learned to play guitar in 1965, first chords from uncle who played country. Grew up on Chopin and Mario Lanza. Friend and myself wrote 250 songs over a few years. Myself continued to learn to play guitar at night and in the dark with eyes closed, just letting the fretboard tell me where I was, learning to listen in this way.
Played live in 1990's in Seattle, Washington state at the Blue Moon tavern. Yes, loved it; as different back up artists would play different nights and each song sounds different with different back up musicians, a 'great' experience. I usually lay back low and let them experience the music expression.
Very many influences. Chopin, Beattles, Led Zepplin, BB King, Eric Clapton, Django Rheinhardt, Wes Montgomery, Charlie Christian, Lou Reed, Ali Akbar Khan, many many others.
