The Knuckle Sandwiches

The Knuckle Sandwiches

The Knuckle Sandwiches were in existence from 2004-2005. We were a garage/punk band with underlying British Invasion and New Orleans Soul inspiration.

Too Good Looking (to rock and roll)

We don't need no pretty boys...this is garage rock baby!

Vertigo Whirlwind

A rockin' tune about a girl you can't get out of your head. Written and sung by our drummer, Jon.

Hubert Humphrey

Hubert Humphrey may have run for president, but he never played rock and roll like this! Just a fun, rockin' nod to the only LSU alumnus to run on a presidential ticket.

Radio Smash

Radio Smash was recorded a few years after the band broke up. We got together one night and decided to throw a couple of songs together...this one and Hubert Humphrey. Maybe one day we'll get back together again for a song or two! Rock on!
The Knuckle Sandwiches lived for about 18 months during 2004-05. Just a group of 4 working stiffs playing music in our spare time. We had a blast playing gigs in Manhattan and Brooklyn, and one NJ appearance at the annual Crawfish Fest in Augusta, NJ. A great time was had by all, and what we lacked in talent we made up for in enthusiasm! How would YOU like a Knuckle Sandwich?!
Band/artist history
Steve and Andy went to LSU together, and have known each other for over 20 years. They decided to start a garage band and live out some rock star delusions. They added another LSU buddy, Will to play guitar, and Steve's work colleague Jon to play drums. The rest, as they say, is history.
Have you performed in front of an audience?
We played around 2 dozen gigs during our tenure. The highlight had to be when we had the chance to play at CBGB's. So, it was the downstairs lounge, but it was still awesome. Also, we played a "Classic Album Night" at Arlene's Grocery, where we performed the entire Ramones' "Leave Home" album.
