Eric Christian (aka "E-Dub" is no newcomer to the independent music scene. A fan favorite in West Michigan's battle circuit, Eric quickly smashed his way to the top of local battle competitions to hail as the "Freestyle King" of Grand Rapids, Michigan. Also one of the few indie artists to ever dominate the "Gun Ru" airwaves, he established himself early on as a force to be reckoned with in the midwest market.
2004's "Reason 2 Rhyme" showcased Eric's unique ability to grab the attention of tired hip hop fans and spin new perspective into every day "struggler" anthems. The album went on to become a successful smash hit locally, and received praise across the board from some of Michigan's most prominant indie artists. Launching his own imprint "Emergency Room Records", he blazed forward in early 2005 to begin working on his latest opus, "Mozt Hated" - An impressive soundscape depicting the musical growth of an already great battle artist. The album features guest appearances from Marv Won of Detroit's famed "Fat Killahz", Young Reese, and West Michigan's native indie-workhorse Menacide (alongside whome he's opened up for Tech N9ne, Project: Deadman, and many notable others). In 2006, he performed to a local crowd along with Detroit's Horrorcore sensation Esham, and went on to perform at ICP's famed "Gathering Of The Juggalos" in summer 2007, alongside Bone Thugs N Harmony, Twiztid, Haystack, and many more.. Blazing show after show with local partner Ill Kontent, E's performances have become a prominant sensation throughout Michigan. He can also be witnessed in "Battle Mode" on the bonus DVD accompanying Menacide's national release, "Street Symphony".
The final touches now complete on the long-awaited "Mozt Hated" album, Eric Christian is set to once again make unmistakable noise in the midwest and beyond.
