Outside the box, on the edge, and against the grain is where you..ll find me. The sheep that would not follow, the brick that would not fall, that last tree that would not be swayed by the winds. I do not ever want to follow the crowd as the crowd may be lost. I do not wish to lead, I only want to show you my path and let you watch as you discover your own. I am not that raging bull, I am the ocean, I am calm but if you anger me I will show you a storm of epic nature. I walk alone but yet my people are always beside me. Therefore you so much as taunt one of my friends, family or girlfriend and I will rage upon you a horrible wrath. I am created by my mind but ruled by my hart. My passions include music amongst other arts and people.
I have been rapping for years now and have finally taken the decision to rap professionally and pursue it as a career. I have studied the best rappers and have tried to take the best pieces from them to create my own styles of rhyming. I did start off rhyming in an accent when I was young, but I was young. I have since dropped it but twinges do appear now and again, so fucking what. I can rap and I will prove this point to any disbelievers with an almighty verse of thunder and lightning.
My influences include such great technically gifted rappers as Cannabis with whom I was honoured to talk to on the phone after giving him an earlier mix Cd. It was him who told me anyone can share in greatness and I for one believe him. Other influences are Eminem, jay-z, big pun, and nowadays my crew Alpha kappa. This is not just a shout out to my crew but I find there thoughts more interesting than those of Chingy, jibs, chamillionaire of any other air head so called rapper from the quick millionaire US states.
If you can..t tell already, I am not a fan of the snap your fingers, lean back, rock with it movement. Play a few dirty south songs and find your self doing the same dance all night long, and I..ve had all the grills, spinning rims and boss talk I can take for a life time.
As for my upbringing I won..t gloss it up like I am supposed to, I mite throw in sum crack and guns in here somewhere though, just to keep you reading lol. I was raised by a single mother duh, I am black and Jamaican. I don..t think our country..s descendants do nuclear families. My mum moved from a Stockwell estate to a house flat in Clapham when I was born. I had no brothers or sisters to follow or precede me I am an only child. For those thinking I am spoilt I beg to differ. My mum wouldn..t even buy me a sega master system. Not even a snes or a gameboy so don..t get it twisted.
I never had the best relationship with my mum; in fact I don..t remember a single meaningful conversation throughout my raising. We eventually had our gun fall outs during the time I started to realise I hated secondary school and didn..t give a fuck about anything except music. I got kicked out, had to live in a crack hostel were I met rappers like scrappy who are on my myspace page. Me and my mum talk now but I must admit that wile we never got on she installed certain things in me that I took an evolved into my own personality that I thank her for.
My life stories are evident in my songs; my perceptions are clear through my lyrics. I am a rebel. I live to swim against the tide and challenge convention. My sprit is unbreakable my loyalty for my friends unquestionable. I have depth and strength in numbers and I will make it to the ..promised land...
