30+ years of playing bass and backup vocals for various Kansas rock and country bands. Have opened for a so many Nashville stars, I forget some. Have had friends around me make it to the A list , but it wasn't in the cards for me. Playing and writing Christian and Country music that I enjoy and hope others enjoy it also.
I am an +average bass player just learning lead guitar. I don't have a voice that reaches out and grabs you by the collar, but my harmonies get me by. Maybe someone will hear something they want to record, not sure why I am so driven. My drummer is the most consistant part in the band. Of course that is a drum machine :) I play everything else.
I play Churches, Coffee Houses and Local Organizations in and around Dodge City and Western Kansas. Not too far from Dodge City? and would like me to come and play, please send me an email.
My Dad was a player and could find the harmony in any song. I miss him dearly. I started out in the hair metal days but by the 90's I was playing country to pay the bills.
Earlier songs done on a 4 track cassette. Later songs on a digital Fostex. Rogue Basses, Dean Guitars, Yamaha KB
I am legally deaf after 30 years of standing next to powerfull PA systems. I wear two hearing aids to get by. I had to retire from playing in 2013 because of my hearing issues. By 2016 I went totally deaf. The good news is in May of '21 I was lucky enuf with god's help, I had Cochlear Implant Surgery and I can hear again. I hope to pick up where I left off in trying to play, sing and write if God's willing I know I am.
