Cappello's Story
Imagine coming to the realization that you've not yet entered into a purposed-filled life! In light of your present circumstances, there is a void that constantly reminds you that you were created to do more, be more, and have more! On the day you were born, God gave you unique talents. After those talents were developed, God made it clear as to what talents intersected with the world's needs. And behold, your mission was clearer than ever! With no major record deal and no major industry contacts, Cappello came to the realization of his life as a gospel rap artist to reach the lost during his freshman year in college.
Brandon DeAndre Biggs, known as gospel rap artist Cappello, was born in Plymouth, North Carolina. Being the son of a minister, Cappellos family roots were grounded in the Christian faith. However, Cappello was living a life contrary to the word of God. Having too much of Christ to be happy in the world, yet having too much of the world to be happy in Christ, he found himself in a state of misery and frustration. After becoming a young father, Cappello married his high school sweetheart and began to take control of his life. Being a secular rapper all of his teenage years, he decided to no longer use his God-given gift to promote violence, fornication, pride, and materialism. Submitting himself as a living sacrifice to Jesus Christ, Cappello has now become one of Gods very own communication channels.
In 2006, Cappello met the CEO of Intertwine Records and began recording his spirit-filled songs inspired by the Holy Bible and personal testimonies. Songs like My Testimony and What If paved the way for a promising career for the young gospel rapper. After making his first appearance at his local church, Cappello has been invited to perform at numerous events all across the state of North Carolina. These events include youth conferences, city festivals, school assemblies, and more. Most recently, Cappello has shared the stage with mainstream gospel artist, such as Pastor Marvin Sapp, Crystal Aikin, and Canton Jones.
Cappello is currently working on his highly anticipated debut album entitled, The underGOD Album. A release date has not been announced. You can get more information at www.reverbnation.com/cappellomusic.
Cappello is a husband and father. He and his family resides in Greenville, NC and attend Wave Church.Have you performed in front of an audience?I minister and perform at live events at campuses, community events, and churches, etc. I truly enjoy the live events because it gives me a chance to connect personally with God's people. My passion for the Lord is expressed right in front of their eyes. Every moment that God positions me in front of live audience is a special moment. Especially when souls are saved!
