Western New York's Urban Music Empire
"The Sound Of Western New York" We would like to introduce everyone to Tha Empyre Inc., a movement for a million. Our company was founded in the summer of 2002 by Damario Gerrald, an aspiring eighteen year old rap artist and producer. We have five musicians in total; four Hip Hop artists and a female R&B vocalist/hip hop artist, all hailing from the Western New York region. Our music, we believe, is more than just your average hit on the radio. We offer the world a peak into what we know as life and truth, while also bringing a lighter side to the everyday struggles people generally face. We feel we succeed in not falling into the usual pattern of mainstream artist of any kind, but instead create a new sound. (The Sound of Western New York) The unfortunate absence of prospering Hip Hop/R&B artists in this area is part of what is driving Tha Empyre to create what we call a movement for a million. This area has so much talent and diversity to offer and all it needs is major exposure and respect throughout the industry. This group of five individuals has the same goal: to turn what started as an idea into a successful independent record company. This task is neither easy nor common, especially coming from a very much underexposed area of the country. Tha Empyre Inc. also known as Tha Empyre Streetz Network plans to use every method possible to market ourselves. This includes: radio, TV commercials, newspaper and magazine ads, the World Wide Web, and word of mouth. We also plan to strengthen our movement by networking and collaborating with other independent record companies, as well. The name, Empyre Streetz Network, also describes our vision: networking through the streets to create an Empyre.
