Band/artist history
Hailing from Hobart, Tasmania (Australia) Hammerhead have been rocking venues and festivals since 2004. The band's fundamental mission is to help fight the good fight to keep rock and roll alive and well, and preferrably in the front row where it belongs. Hammerhead modestly believe that they've got plenty of fire power as well as a few secret weapons to contribute to the cause. An abundance of ballsy riffs, ripping guitar solos, soaring vocals and air tight rhythm section define Hammerhead's kick-arse style, and a rock solid stage show that lives up to studio recordings has earned them plenty of respect and admiration.
Hammerhead's debut album "Stiff" was received extremely well and was awarded raving reviews and local airplay. Track number two, "Dance of the Mail Order Bride" scored a spot on Tasmania's 2006 'Amplified' compilation cd. With album number two on the way, Hammerhead fans are eagerly awaiting a product worthy of backing up "Stiff" and they're absolutely sure not to be disappointed.
