The Theme That Never Was

New Age

Since the past few years, I've been playing for a band called Phlegmingo which have turned out to be, if I may say so, the most fruitful years of my keyboarding aspirations. More than anything else, it was the confluence of tastes and influences in music, encompassing genres including classical, metal, rock, fusion, progressive, funk, jazz, blues, within different members of the band that held my interest and passion for what we did in that little jam room of my college, NITK Surathkal. With no boundaries of stereotypes and rigid genres, and a desire to learn the various styles of music that exist in the world today, playing together was never too difficult, and more importantly, it was a lot of fun :) For the past few months, Phlegmingo seems to have taken a sabbatical (hopefully temporarily :)), and the few songs that I've uploaded here have since been composed by me on the keyboard. I'm not really sure which particular genre to classify them under, but I'd like to believe that they are mostly progressive, which is the one thing that I've always enjoyed playing. Hope you do have a good time listening to them, and please do feel free to send me your feedback on this link or to phlegmingo.musicband@gmail.com. Cheers!
Have you performed in front of an audience?
I guess the most memorable ones include my first ever with "Seven" at Ragam 2005 @ NIT Calicut, and then the numerous gigs I've played in recent years with "Phlegmingo" at various places.
Your musical influences
Just too many to list, but I would exceptionally like to mention Jordan Rudess.
What equipment do you use?
Yamaha PSR-1100 synthesizer.
Anything else?
