The Ribbon Device sound like a new kind of pop.... a "Strange pop"
They are the perfect mix of quirky and cool, a dazzling blend of
Pavement's twisted pop sensibilities with Beck's swagger & the
sexiness of Air.
The Ribbon Device started early 2004, as the brainchild of Mat Creedon (vox & guitar)
who latter teamed up with Bar McKinnon (keys & woodwinds) of Mr Bungle and
Secret Chiefs 3 fame. They soon enlisted the aid of long time collaborators
Mimmo Panunzio (bass) and Pat Moore (drums). Where they set about creating
some very 'strange pop'. Thus the quintessential pop experience of The Ribbon Device
yes we play live, all over Australia, yes we like it, every moment is special.
