What happens when electronic elements are combined with Pop and Rock sounds and an array of vocal melodies? The result is Neophonic!
Band/artist history
Neophonic is my brainchild and my current creative muse in other musical endeavors. It all began with me buying MTV music generator and being able to produce a series of techno-like songs with great ease. But like everyone I began to find that techno itself is too boring. So, I bought better equipment, better software, and began writing new songs that incorporated techno elements combined with rock and pop, and began writing lyrics. The rest is history...
Have you performed in front of an audience?
Unfortunately I don't have a band so all of these songs are sequenced.
Your musical influences
There are way too many influences to name. Vocal influences include Darren Hayes, Michael Jackson, Mariah Carey, Latin artists such as David Bisbal, Luis Fonsi, and even a Japanese influence by the name of Utada Hikaru. Musical influences include (but are not limited to) Nine Inch Nails, Fatboy Slim, Sash, and Utada Hikaru.
What equipment do you use?
I originally started out with a simple studio consisting of a condenser mic, recording interface, Acid Pro 5.0 and a really old keyboard. My studio now is a little better with an MXL 990, a KSM27, an Mbox 2 Interface, and both Logic 8 and Pro Tools.
Anything else?
I really hope that you all enjoy something that was so fun for me to create. There's no better feeling than knowing that maybe out there someone might connect to something I've written on some level! For those of you who take the time to listen and/or give back feedback, I really appreciate it and thank you for the support!!!
