Jayomega was born Jared Tyree Jackson in Albert Einstein Hospital located in the Bronx, New York. For 14 years of his life, Jayo was raised in Parkchester, a condominium located in the Bronx. Parkchester is often mistaken for both a project, and a "soft" area. Parkchester is neither of the two, infact the area is becoming more and more an unsafe to environment to be brought up in, but has major advantages as well. Parkchester is one of the largest areas in the borough with over 170 buildings. It is so big that locally the people in residence have separated the area into 4 sections; North, South, East, and West. Jayo began schooling at the age of 5 and attended a school out of his immediate area, so he never spent much time with the children in Parkchester or got to know many of them. He attended P.S. 83 located in on Rhinelander Avenue in Morris Park and White Plains Road for 8 years. Most of the time he spent with children in Parkchester was spent either on the basketball courts in the playground of P.S. 106 located just down the block from his apartment building. Here he played basketball and played around with others, but mostly the same people everyday. If not at 106 he could've been located at E3 or E2, also just down the block from his building. After middle school, Jared attended Monroe High School for Visual Arts and Design, where he found his talent for hip hop. Monroe was located on Elder Avenue on Bronx River. Bronx river is a rough area filled with gang members, but Jayo held his head high and made some of his close friends. Jayo eventually met a fellow freshman whom you all now know by the name of "Jaek". He and Jaek quickly became inseparable and where you could find Jaek you would find Jayo. They were behind all mischief that went about, and they eventually created a group called "THE R.O.C", consisting of wild loud mouthed freshman. Together they ran things and were looked upon as generals of a movement. They began to cut class and take part in small lyrical cyphers in the stair cases and wrote rhymes together daily. Eventually they changed the group name from "The R.O.C." to "The Street Officials". Now with over 15 members, 12 of which are musically inclined, the Street Officials has become an unstoppable lyrical movement with members from all over the states.

Your musical influences
Jayomega's largest inspiration is his brother Justin aka "NYGHT". NYGHT is also an aspiring artist who is 8 years older than Jared, and has over the years inspired Jayo to do what he is doing. He grew up without a father figure, so he looks up to N.Y as such, as well as a brother. His mother Cynthia is also a huge inspiration for him. Being that his father never lived up to his responsibilities and provided all he could for his children, his mother raised he and his brother single handedly with the help from family members here and there. Other inspirations throughout Jayo's career come from artists such as Big L, Notorious B.I.G, Tupac, Ludacris, Jay-z, and other immediate artists such as Lupe Fiasco. One of the outstanding traits about Jayo is that you would never guess his inspirations becuase Jared has his own sound and flow. He is his own artist.
