DDR is a post-punk / krautrock band based in Istanbul. Members are: Can Batukan (electric guitar, vocals) Cihan Cinemre (bass, vocals) Murat Babalik (drums) Bora Simsek (keys, electric guitar).
Band/artist history
The band produced its first demo "Post-technik" in 2002. By releasing two demos in 2004 and 2005 together with a reputable stage performance, DDR became an emerging figure in the Turkish underground scene so far. In 2006 they have completed a special recording session produced by Barkin Engin and Selcuk Artut of Replikas (one of the main influences of DDR), including 5 songs. Now they are recording their first album with producer and a good friend Mehmet Unal.
