One man synthesizer band and thereminist - avant- garde to old-timey.
Band/artist history
Rupert - started out playing medieval and renassiance music and then bought a synthesizer and started doing electronic music after hearing phaedra, aqua, picture music and autobahn. I currently do pop/rock, avant-garde, electronica/techno (old school), electropunk, old-timey and medieval music using one synthesizer, a theremin and voice. favorite living "name" artists are eno, bjork and tori amos. i don't sound like any of them. first dc metro area artist to perform punk, new wave, alt/grunge and electonica in the metro dc area. invented dynamic minimalism music style using first a c-64 and later atari st computers merging 12 tone compositional technique with midi sequencing and a process that was the inverse of john cage's. first to stream full songs and albums on the web without commercial consideration with about 6 hours of music at irupert internet radio, the first prototyped internet radio site in 1995-1996, with myhouse communications - now defunct. back then, people would put up a minute's worth of a song and then actually expect you to BUY it. i gave it away. first to protoype online video streams as a beta project - irupert internet video - now defunct. member of the mythical yippies.
