Have you performed in front of an audience?
I first performed live (cut my teeth) in and around Carlinville and central Illinois with a cousin's band "Miss Lisa Pettit & the Country Four" between 1982 and 1986... After moving to south Texas on January 01, 1987, I managed to audition successfully for the lead male position at the soon to open "Daryl Starbird's Original Texas Opry House", a 500 seat country music theatre located on the beautiful Riverwalk in downtown San Antonio. There I performed two shows daily from April 1987 thru the end of 1988. In 1989, I moved to the beautiful Lake of the Ozarks area and "theatre country" where I successfully landed a spot as lead male vocalist at "The Warren Stokes Country Revue", a 1,000 seat music theatre near Branson, Missouri. There I continued to perform two shows daily until it was purchased by new owners in late 1991. In early 1992 I signed a management deal with Brewer-Crow Artist Management and commuted between Arkansas, Missouri, Illinois, Oklahoma and Tennessee (performing when and wherever possible) while negotiations took place between my management and CURB RECORDS of Nashville. Negotiations continued through the latter part of 1993. After the major-label recording contract failed to materialize I was released from the management contract and began preparing to relocate once again. My next destination... In the fall of 1993, I returned to San Antonio and formed my own band... calling it "Destination: Texas"! I continued to perform nearly every weekend somewhere in south Texas for the better part of the next three years. In 1996 I packed up and was on the move again... this time to "Music City USA" where I now hang my hat, living just 30 minutes south of Nashville, Tennessee... just a hop, skip and a jump to "Music Row" and the world famous "Grand Ole Opry"! I am currently back in the studio working on brand new music with one of the most well respected and industry revered professionals in Nashville... Recording Studio Owner, Producer & Master Sound Engineer... Mr. John Nicholson! You can usually catch me performing in and around Nashville every chance I get! It's been quite a ride! The party continues... Hope to see (you)... in Nashville... real soon!
