Its all me and I cannot remember NOT writing songs. If something caught my eye, I wrote about it then put chords to it. I have had many periods of intense writing and recording and have boxes of song ideas not yet past the "paper" stage. My Ibanez jumbo acoustic 12 string humming-bird guitar and any old piano served me well over the years, and still do, specially the 'birdie.
All interlaced with emotional turmoil, alcohol addictions and psychiatric incidences. The bits I can't do is midi.
Pretty well everybody from the 20th century to now.
Frank Sinatra, Elvis, Willie Nelson, Johnny Cash, The Beatles and the Stones, Queen, ELO, Neil Young, Bing Crosby, James Taylor, Joni Mitchell, Sooty, Les Dawson, Lou Reed, Leonard Cohen, Madonna, Take That, Beach Boys, Snoop Dog, Eminem, Tiny Tim, Michael Buble and without a doubt Bob Dylan.
And an old man who played piano in a large jazz band and his stories and his playing.
Ibanez 12 string humming-bird jumbo acoustic guitar, Heritage Les Paul, Line 6 33 and Workbench, Epiphone 12n6 doubleneck electric, Line 6 Toneport, Panasonic p30 keyboard, Yamaha DX21, Cubase, Band In A Box, Soundtrek Jammer, FL Studio, Acid and WaveLab
Most of the songs have a story attached to them. Some about things that have happened to me and some about things I'd like to do to people, good and bad.
