The sunshine riot commune has an unusual blend of reggae and ska. We incorporate little fragments from other styles such as blues, surf rock, punk, jazz, latin, salsa, carribean, corinho, bossa nova..etc. to create a nice sunny sound.
We were formed in 2003 and never looked back.
We usually play at Mayric's, it's near the University of Santo Tomas.
Basically we all love roots reggae, traditional ska, two tone, third wave, rocksteady, dance hall, dub poetry,we just love the "kachink" guitar sound.
we have trumpets, alto sax, bass,a ludwig drumkit, twin reverb amps, epiphone guitars and a jazz bass.
