Southern Hip Hop music has not only influenced the entire industry, but has redefined the musical world as a whole! Now with the introduction of up and coming artists, " FA$TLIFE", they're sure to enhance versatility and creativity within southern hip-hop. Co-Founders and long time friends Dreek (Juandrecus Butler), and M.D. (Marcus Meadows), established FA$TLIFE" Entertainment in the summer of 2004. As former teammates for the Columbia High School basketball team, Dreek and M.D. established a partnership that would lead beyond the courts. Before graduating High School, they both knew the type of lifestyle they wanted to live. With similar up bringing, Dreek & M.D. decided that mediocre wasn't enough. "Our mothers did what they could with what they had. Growing up in single parent homes meant we had to sacrifice a lot of things" said M.D. But they knew a prosperous future would not be one of those things. Music was not there first option. "We loved sports, but we wanted to venture into the business side of the industry" said Dreek, "we're low key type of guys who never really cared about a lot of attention, so becoming artist was actually the last thing on our minds" But after many attempts to start and successfully operate their own company, M.D & Dreek formed FA$TLIFE Entertainment, L.L.C. It wasnt until a normal day in the hood, turned into a concert in the street! Dreek and I was chillin at his crib discussing some beats someone had given us, says M.D. We started spittin, freestyling, and before I knew it, it was dark outside and about 30 people was standing there watching And that moment marked the beginning of FA$TLIFE! With an unmatched style, M.D. is sure to get the attention of those who enjoy hip-hop diversity. Ive always tried to think outside of the box and blend styles to try and create my own universal flow says the 6 foot 3 inch artist. Its all about delivery with M.D. Ive learned that its not about what you say, but how you say it Next up theres Dreek. His cool, lay back swag has earned the right to be called the sleeping volcano. Dreek has always been type to keep to himself, quiet and reserved. But dont let that fool you! Ive seen many niggas get put in they place quickly says long time friend M.D. And its obviously displayed in Dreeks' rhymes. "I just keep to myself and handle my business, do you and I'ma do me! But dont get it confused, this is just music" says Dreek. And when you hear him on a track, you know that the volcano can erupt at any time!
