A broad range of genres and production values - from studio work to raw live performances on acoustic instruments back in the days of killer tape hiss. Your musical influences
I love tunes that defy time - the one's that keep resurfacing as cover tunes. So I tend to listen for SONGS, rather than artists in any particular genre. So I'm a fan of ... Lennon & McCartney, Metallica, Van Morrison, Marianas Trench, Bob Dylan, Joni Mitchell, Melody Gardot, Alexi Murdoch, BB King, James Brown, Led Zepplin, Sting, Sinatra, The Stones, Clint Black, Michael Franti, David Gray, Jason Mraz, Prince, Leszek Mozdzer, DeBussy, Sasha, Def Leppard, Randy Newman, Laura Smith, Lyle Lovett, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Santana, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Mozart, Nick Drake, Terez Montcalm, US3, etc, etc ...
What equipment do you use?
I have a metal lathe, a Sony PlayStation 3, an electric drill with a dead battery, and a bicycle pump. Now you know why it's taken me so long to finish these demos. (Heintzman upright piano, Korg Trinity, Yamaki guitar, Irish low whistle, 100-year-old tenor guitar)
