Band/artist history
Since winterfall 2006, Spectral Eye decided to transpose all of his musical production in high quality MP3's tracks, in order to become an official band. Spectral eye's work is still being coded and remastered, with a rich adding of new sound and feautures, aimed to transform what was just some demo songs to a professional production; ut four songs are already published by Rain netlabel, on the web archive. In the future, the spectral views will enlarge and grow in number, getting constant inspiration form the city, with its misery and its greatness.
Have you performed in front of an audience?
I never play live as "Spectral Eye", beacuse this is a one-man band. All the music is created with computer support... that's a shame, and I hope in the future there will be a way to make shome live shows.
Your musical influences
I like so many kind of music, it difficult to list here some of the most significant bands.... I'll give it a try. Shurely, for the voice and the distortion I employed, I got inspired by the black metal world: I like artists like Burzum, Dimmu Brogir, Mortis and Marduk. Besides, for the music itself, for the guitar rithmics, simple and repetitive, I partially inspired to punk music (like the very early Green Day's works) and partially to the electronic discotheque music. For the global sound in genral, and the feeling I wanted it to give, I mainly thought about Fear Factory and other similar bands.
What equipment do you use?
As phisical instrument, I use a Synth, connected to my mac-mini. As oftware tools, I like playing and recording tracks using Garage Band, Logic Pro 7, Audacity for post-production FX.
